Catechism Center

The Apostolate of Catechism is the vital organ of faith formation of children and youth in the Eparchy. It gives basic training in the fundamentals of the Catholic faith, in the spiritual and liturgical traditions of the Malankara Church, in the Sacred Scriptures, Church history, etc. This Apostolate focuses on accompanying a believer from childhood in helping him/her to become a true follower of Jesus Christ and a worthy son/daughter of the Church. The whole training program is arranged in twelve grades with a specific curriculum, requiring twelve years to complete.

Malayalam & English rendering of the books of Catechism of the Malankara Catholic Church is available to our students at Santhinilayam.

Malankara Catholic Children’s League (MCCL)

This apostolate for the Malankara Catholic children is committed to giving special training and conscientization to our children in their Malankara Catholic identity, in their Christian vocation and in their responsibilities to their family, to their Church and society. Children are helped to develop a special love and esteem for the Syro-Malankara Catholic traditions and spirituality.

Malankara Catholic Youth Movement (MCYM)

The Malankara Catholic Youth Movement of Tiruvalla will strive to promote within its members, the growth of Catholic spiritualism, faith and values, as well as an understanding of all facets of the Malankara Catholic Church. The Movement will also promote fellowship and the development of leadership skills and other talents amongst its members.

Malankara Catholic Association (M.C.A)

Through this apostolate, the Malankara Lay people are invited to enrich the secular society with the values of the gospel through their faithfulness to the Catholic faith and to some of the underlying values of the culture that they have inherited as Syro-Malankara Catholics.

This apostolate tries to strengthen the involvement and activities of women in the Church. As persons who have the most influence on family and children, women in the Church are enabled to organize themselves and become deeply aware of the crucial significance of their role in the family, in the Church and in the society. This apostolate arranges various programs for women to facilitate this.
